Tottenham Hotspur Football Club (THFC) is currently rebuilding its ground for the 2018-19 season. This will result in the stadium capacity almost doubling from the current 35,000 to 60,000.
The transport in N17 is struggling as it is and Cycle Legal has been lobbying the club to encourage cycling as a means of reaching the ground, both via the River Lea and through THFC hire bikes from Seven Sisters and Tottenham Hale.
This has already been a success — Spurs have completely changed the focus on the transport section of their website from motor to cycle traffic, but there is much more to do to try to head off transport chaos when the new ground is opened.
