The brainchild of Ken Livingstone and implemented by Boris Johnson, the hire-bike scheme has been a massive success, opening up two-wheeled possibilities for Londoners and tourists alike.

Cycle Legal has been pushing for the scheme to be expanded across London as was originally envisaged by Ken Livingstone. At present It only extends as far north as Camden and Islington, completely missing out the busy hubs of Finsbury Park, Dalston Junction, Archway and Hackney Central.

Cycle Legal have written to Santander and TFL, and we have already seen some success with the scheme being extended to Stratford, as proposed in our correspondence. Now we’d like to see the campaign going further and will continue to engage with the relevant organisations in an effort to move this forward.
